     Benjamin Rubin was born of Max and Rose Rubin on September 21, 1922 in Baltimore, Maryland. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 21 on January 20, 1943 and was stationed in Georgia serving in the U.S. Army Battery C. 497th AAA. "Beny" was later stationed in North Carolina for the U.S. Army Battery C. 139th AAA. He often wrote to his family at home in Maryland and would occasionally start his letters with "How is everything feeling at home?" Benjamin also wrote to his brother Isaac who was also serving for the U.S. Army. Benjamin Rubin died in April 1972 at age 50. Isaac Rubin, more commonly known as "Ike", was born on October 14, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland. He enlisted in the United States Army on December 11, 1942 at the age of 19. Ike was then stationed in Colorado serving for the U.S. Army 9th F.S.S. He was also involved in the Jewish community at Fort Logan, where he was stationed. He would write to his family at home and his brother. His letters were short and often started with "Just a few lines to say hello." Isaac Rubin died on July 29, 2000 at the age of 77.
