Dearest Folks,

Received your swell letter today and glad you are well.  O.K. You’re feeling fine and everything just swell.

The reason why it took so long for us to get here is we stopped off to eat, and you know how slow these trains travel.  They take the long way, but it was a nice trip. As I wrote, I like the camp O.K. and I will have it good here. You know I can get along with everybody. The officers like me very much and think I am a good worker.

As I wrote you the meals down here are swell, and mom I still get all I want.  I just go in the kitchen…
