Dearest Mom and all,

A few lines to let you know I am well and okay. Hope everyone there is the same. Has the little sis got home yet? I haven’t answered her last letter for she said she had her ticket bought and was ready to come home; thought I would just wait until she got back.

I got a letter from Bert and Lucy the other day, she sure seems to be happy now, just hope everything continues to go that way, just wonder if he ever got that letter I wrote. They haven’t mentioned it if he did. What I said might have helped to open his eyes.

Had [a] tooth pulled the other day, one of the front crowned ones. Looks like about two missing, am going back before long and may have some more pulled, have been doctoring my gums the last few days they are some better now.

Mom, [I] am sending a $100 money order. We got $140 back pay, this $100 will help put back what I wrote for when we first got here, think I will be able to send about $25 every month now, every little [bit] helps, the extra $30 per month. For glider riding isn’t bad and the ride itself isn’t bad.

Well mom this isn’t much of a letter but enough to let you all know I am ok. So will sign off for now.

Received your letter yesterday with the Christmas order, thanks a million, but Mom don’t send any more money for I won’t need it, just the candy. Small things like that, will suit me as well as anything.
