Dearest Mom & all-

Just a few line to let you all know I am well and ok and hope all of you are the same. If it hasn’t rained any there yet sure wish you were getting the rain that falls here, it rained most all last night and this morning and looks as if it might start pouring any minute. We still aren’t doing much driving but I am about ready to go to work, time passes faster when we are busy. Had a pretty good supper last night, some of us boys went out and bought 4 chickens and had fried chicken. The Arabs just ask 50 to 100 Francs a piece for them and 50 Francs is One dollar in American money, but the chicken sure was good, fried just right. Naturally it couldn’t be as good as home cooked, we had hot biscuits and gravy, but even at that it was good for a change from what we have been having, just hoping we can be home before too long and get some good home cooked meals,

                        Love to all,

                                    Marlin
