North Africa

Dearest Mom and All,

Just a few lines to let you know that I am OK and doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.  Some of the boys have been sick.  I have been lucky for once in my life, and haven’t been sick at all, not even when we were on the waters.  I got a letter from Lucy and one from Allie Mae since we have been here.  Haven’t heard from Pillie in some time, since before I left Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Thursday Evening, May 27

I will try and finish this evening.  I have been a little sick today but not any thing serious.  I feel lots better tonight.  Hope you have gotten my other letter by now, but the mail is rather slow.  If you don’t hear from me as regular as you think you should don’t worry for I will write as often as I can.

Well as there isn’t much we can write about.  I will close for now hoping every one is ok.  Sure would like to be there for the 30th.  So long for this time.

With lots of love to all,

Marlin
