Thursday

My dearest Paul,

I was so happy, dear, to have your sweet letter this morning.  The Tuesday letters that I had from you Tuesday, your Saturday and Sunday ones, were both post marked Nov. 9-1 PM.

Mary Ann had a letter from poor Bob yesterday afternoon and he got to Fort Bragg, but they were very late in the afternoon getting there.  So guess it is just as well she didn’t go down to see him.  He is being transferred this month to Alliance, Nebraska and I don’t think he is very happy over it.

Yes, dear, I found out about the license and also about your Dis. certificate and will tell you all about it this weekend.  The 17th day of Dec. will also be for me the happiest day of my life, for you’re everything, dear, that I’ve ever wanted.  Mother and Daddy are awfully pleased that we’re going to marry on their anniversary. They will have been married 31 years, and I just hope that when we have been married that long that I will have made you as good a wife as I think she has made Daddy.  I’ll be so proud to have someone as wonderful as you for my husband, and I’m so awfully happy, Paul.

I had my picture taken, and they told me I couldn’t get the prints until next Mon., but I told them I was going away for the weekend and I would like to have them, so they said they would try to give them to me late Fri. afternoon.  If I ever get them I will bring them along, dear.

I can hardly wait for Saturday to get here, and when I get off the train at 7:25 I’ll really begin to live again.  You mean everything to me, darling, and you know that I love you with all my heart.

Lucille
