Dear Mom:

The pants arrived ok today and I was glad they came. We are allowed to wear winter uniforms now and they will be required on the first of October.

Wish I could be there to see Uncle Ben and Aunt Lucile but that’s the way it goes. Please send me their addresses so I can thank him for the 10 spot. Haven’t written him as yet because they left Miami before I had a chance [to] write.

Haven’t heard much of you of late and I haven’t heard from Aunt Cora either. I sent here a money order about ten days or two weeks ago for $50 and I haven’t heard whether or not she received it or not.          Please call her and see if she got it or not. Seems she would have let me know if she did get it! Hope it’s not lost somewhere!

The fair here starts tomorrow, Sunday, so I guess I will have to take it in. They will have horse-races everyday and the fair lasts a week. Might be fun!

Had a pair of wings made into an identification bracelet evening that chain off that old and it is really pretty. Wish you could see it.

There is not much happening around here as usual. Haven’t had but one date with Teresa since I got back, guess [it] will just taper off. All females annoy me for some reason, I’d rather fly than date any girl I know, that’s why I would like to go overseas. There are too many restrictions on flying in the states. You can do pretty much as you please overseas as long as you get your job done. I am fed-up with the training command as a whole anyway. Maybe I can get out of here soon.

I am certainly ready to go just anywhere they take a notion to send me and now too.

Guess that about covers it for now.

                                                            Love to all,

                                                                        Roy

P.S. Tell pop these stamps have been out a month when he gave them to me and to send me some more if he has them, anything from #13 on up.
