Dear Sisters:

Here I am again, believe it or not.  We surely got winter in a hurry out in this neck of the woods for we now have about 10 inches of snow and it isn’t any too bright looking.  I go on K.P. at 3:30 A.M., a nice thought I must say, but that is how it goes and I guess it is my turn.

Mary is not feeling so good.  She came home for lunch on Thursday and said she felt lousy, so I made her go to the doctors.  He said she had to stay in for a few days and gave her sulfa to take.  She surely was funny, after she took it, she’d kind of get knocked out for a couple of hours.  She is much better and expects to go to work tomorrow.  We had rabbit for dinner today; bought it at the market.  It surely was very good and we really finished it.

I have a couple of letters to answer so will get at it now.  Yeah I know who you mean that was dead.  P.L.M. means production line maintenance that is (where) they pull the big inspections on the planes 50 hours inspecting and up.  M O.S.747 is a classification number for airplane mechanics.  It is 747 every shell has a different number as for the M.O.S. I never did get to figure that out but it is the 747 that mean the most.  We saw “Frenchman’s Creek” a couple of weeks ago and we also thought it was good.  I like your new Paper Kathryn.  It really is [nice].  I like that flower scene; it is the same as Elizabeth’s picture isn’t it?  That was something that the kids couldn’t get home from school.  It really must be bad.  I guess there must have been plenty wrong with Paul Z. if they discharged him.

Too bad that Ralph W’s wife lost his business.  She never was much good and I guess she just left it go to the dogs.  Yeah I listen to that program (where) they tell jokes they are pretty good some times. Yes I got the check O.K. thanks for sending it.  Boy the cake was very good and it surely didn’t last very long I must say.

It surely looks like the Russians are all out to lick the Germans.  I surely hope they can keep going at their present pace, but I am afraid it will be like ourselves.  As long as we were going toward Germany, we went like hell also.  Well time will tell.

It seems like the Japs are really being pushed around plenty and they aren’t very strong on Luzon, but we cannot be sure of that either.  But I surely hope it is soon over with.

Hope you are all O.K. and remain that way.

                                                                                    So Long

                                                                                    Love
