Dear Sisters:

I am fine and hope you are the same. I am played out from resting if you ask me. I had K.P. from 8 until 2 then I took my final test.  I got an 88 on it, the highest once again and I guess for the ___ for it is my last test.  It was hard in one way and in another not bad, but I got through it anyway and that is really all that that matters.

The K.P. we had was really easy.  I tended fires while I was __.  Just about a half hour before we were finished it started to rain and has been pouring down ever since.  The place was a sea of mud about ankle deep so after our test we sat in a tent and did nothing until it was time to come back.

I have a letter from Irma I’ll try and answer before the lights go out. The field we are in is in the camp limits about a half mile from our barracks. We come back to the barracks each night. We are the second shift and we go early on account of the light.

I guess this course really carries more than one trade but until I get more experience I wouldn’t say I had any more trades. It is something that they took them things off the ration list, but I think about time

You surely are having some warm weather according to your Friday letter.

I don’t now if we are going to get far with that plane ride or not.  The last few classes have been hooked out of it so maybe we’ll be also.

To bad Richard B. must study so hard he’ll be wiser but weaker I can assure you.

            So Long.

                                                                        Love,

                                                                                    John
