Dear Elva and Billy:

I was very happy to receive the fudge for my birthday and I want to thank you very much. My problem right now is not to eat too much at one time. Gretchen too thinks it is very good and we have to hide the box at that, she goes snooping around and actually is very clever at finding out where we put things. She’s a rascal!

It seems good to get back at work although the sun and swimming in Florida were very nice. All three of us sport a nice tan but I am beginning to flake. Probably I’ll be all faded out in two or three weeks, although I hope not.

As usual I wait until the last minute to start writing letters and it’s almost midnight now. Flo says its past time to pick Gretchen up which I guess is right.

Be good and the best of luck,

Ray
