Dear Hon:

Good morning sweetheart. I just got up after an awful night. The worst I’ve had in quite some time. I feel all broken up. I had a day off yesterday so naturally I tried to cram a lot into it. I started the day by going down street in the morning and also went to see my Mother. My father was sick in bed, he gets terrific headaches and has a cramped muscle in his neck. He always has some sort of sickness. Poor devil. I came home and got busy around the house, in fact I was very busy until Mary got home and we both had supper. I took a bath and figured that I could relax now from all day, read the paper and write a letter later. No suck luck, we had to get a house full of company. Mrs. W., Gladys, Frank, some lady friend came along with them and our Leo + Edith. They stayed late, by that time I was so tired that I started to get dizzy. I got in bed, I was so nervous and shaky, every little noise made me jump a mile. I was fit to be tied. I went to sleep with Mary and yet it took me a long time to get to sleep. Darling I must have been tired as I feel

pretty much like, I used to this morning. My whole back and neck could stand a good massaging. I wish that you were here dear to do it for me. I’m due at P.’s this morning. I hope to God she doesn’t have something lined up for me like baking bread + cake.

Darling, I Love company but they never did come at the right time, always when you are about half dead, they pop around.

Sweetheart I am so sorry, as my subject this morning is not much of a morale builder. All this tired stuff is not much fun to read, but I am sure you will understand darling. You know how tired I can get while no one else does. Frank K. is almost certain to go in 2 more weeks as deferments are hard to get at this time. He is in the army, he didn’t have any choice so he said. He expects big things like them sending him through school, I hope he doesn’t get disappointed. Leo is to be Godfather for Pete and also the best man for Junior M. this coming Sat. + Sun. Junior got this girl in wrong and has to marry her much to his dislike. Leo can’t see his way as he is not that type. The Socha boys were never like that, were they dear?

Leo said he was trying to figure out, that is Junior, if would be cheaper to pay her for the baby or marry her. Somehow, he decided to marry her, it must be a cheaper way out. He has another on the string that he thinks he likes better, what a mess.

Edith told us she was glad that she wasn’t in anything like that, I’m sure that Leo + Edith are good kids just like you + I were.

Sweetheart I hope you can understand this letter as I’m not sure if there is much sense to Junior M. but I tried to explain it the best way I could. I must close now dear, until tonight. I Love you darling with all my heart and wouldn’t trade you + your love for anything else in the whole world.

“God Bless You darling.”
