            Dear Hon:

Good evening, my darling hubby.  I’m happy to know that you are in the best of health for I am the same.  I’m getting plenty of rest these days.  Thank God for that.  Once I hit the bed I’m good till morning.

I received your letter of Sun. today.  It makes me happy to know that you have a good rest on Sun.  Getting your paper on Sun. also makes it quite convenient doesn’t it?  Even if it is a week old.  Gives you a chance to give it a good going over.  It must be nice to read news from home and perhaps find a familiar name or two.

I was up at 4 A.M. got dressed and started out at 4:30.  I was a little jittery walking down York St.  I walked fast in the road.  I got to the Highloud Theatre before Wonda.  Some hike for that early in the morning.  When I got to work I was good and hungry.  Tomorrow, I’m at Phillipse’s.  She called me up today and told me to come on the 8:30 bus as long as Mary was away.  It sure sound good to me. I dread getting up there so early in the morning.

Today, was a very beautiful day.  Warm, and the sun shone bright.  I hope it stays this

way for a while.  Blizzards scare me.

My fire was very low tonight so I shook down most of it, put wood on and started another fire.  It was all burnt through.  Last night the heat was terrific.  I had my bedroom window opened all night.  I will do the some tonight.  A bit of fresh air feels good.

Mrs. Hervery, knocked down all the icicles around the house.  It sure was nice of her.  She is so much taller and can reach better than I can.  I tried knocking them down yesterday but I only got a few down.

I called up Gert tonight but she was out.  I figger I figured that a little company would do me some good but no luck.  I hope Mary comes home soon as living alone is not for me.  There would have to be some changes made.

Darling, I will close now until tomorrow.  I Love you darling so very much that words alone con not express.  Everyday day, as I write the words I Love You its with such feeling that I can feel my heart ache.  If only, by Gods will, this wicked war would end.  It would be the happiest day in my life as it would bring you home again.

Goodnite Sweet + Pleasent Dreams.

I hope they are all of me                XXX Your Wife
