Dear Mom & Pap:
I just received your letter that you wrote Thursday, and thought I would answer it right away. The Red Cross sure does go out of their way to make the fellows in the hospital. Christmas day we had a movie and in between reels a Red Cross women gave out ice cream and candy. They came in today and gave out cigarettes, washcloths, toothbrushes, shaving cream, and toothpaste.
Mom, I really don’t know wether or not I can get home again but I’m sure going to try my darndest. Your right that I don’t want to make the hospital my second home. I’m an up patient now and the doctor said I could go back to duty, when I don’t know. Tell mom I’m going to close now. Hope to see you soon. All my love,
