Dear Mom & Pop:

I received your letter yesterday. I guess you don’t have to bother answering this letter because I’ll probably be home Saturday night. Because of Navy day we don’t get liberty until six o’clock and I won’t be able to catch the train until 8.26. That means I’ll be home around 10:00.

Guess what. We had a Turkey dinner today with all the trimmings. It was really good. It’s the best neat I’ve had in Bainbridge, Well there’s not much else I can write about, (that is if you want to know that I worked in chow hall and cleaned out toilets and shined brass. We can have visitors Saturday but I’ll be home Sat. night so it wouldn’t be worth the trip to come down. Well I guess I’ll close now. All my love.

Alfred
