Dear Mom + Pop:

Thanks a lot for the box of candy. It looks as though it was opened and when I got it there wasn’t a full box. The boys and I enjoyed it. I got a letter from Clara Ruth today. She says Ray is alright if he only wouldn’t comb his hair so much. I went to the dentist again today. He only filled one tooth today. It was one of the worst ones in the back. He practically took the whole inside out of the tooth. It’s a good filling though. We also had out last firefighting today. We had to put out and air tank fire. I really mean it was hot! This Saturday we start working in chow hole again. The only thing is it’s where the Naves and Chiefs eat so it won’t be as hard work. When that week’s done we can have visitors. That will be on the 16^th. I’d be home two weeks after you come down to see me. Make sure you take it easy so you can come down. Well I’ll have to close now.
