Dear Mom & Pop:

Well the war is over and I’m glad I don’t have to get in it.

I’m enclosing the pass for Pop to get in the get in the gate Sunday. Pay no attention to the encircled phrase on the back of the pass.

I got six letters today the most I’ve ever gotten.

Ray wrote to me and I think he’s going to quit Belmont because he just doesn’t like the atmosphere.

I have hardly any time this week to do anything because were not done in Chow hall til                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      about 6.00 or 6.30. So I’m pretty done in. I got some fellow to do my work for me tomorrow.

Close right away and write and answer more letters

Always love

Alfred
