Dear Mom and Dad,

Just a short time to let you know I’m all right. Don’t feel much like writing. I went to sick call this morning and they put me right in the hospital flat on my back. Feed me in bed and everything. Hope I’m not here more than 6 days. If I am I will be transferred to another battalion and lose out on my cpl. Job.

Well I had better lay back down again. Still pretty sick. Don’t worry because I’m right under a doctor’s care now. And Boy! What good looking nurses and friendly two.

I’ll write you more often when I feel better.
