Sat. Night

                My darling wife,

Every Saturday I am alive it seems to be getting lonelier. I don’t know what seems to be wrong with me lately, but I am very homesick for you Maggie. At times my heart just pounds for you, and sometimes I get lumps in my throat. I love you so much Maggie, all I can think of is you. I hope something happens or the other soon. I really need you honey. I am still looking forward to our first date.  I guess that’s about the only thing that keeps me going.

We had a basketball game this afternoon and it was a good game. We won by a score of 31 to 26. We all played a lovely game today. I only had 6 points, my eye was way off, but we won anyway.

Tomorrow afternoon we are going to open our bar. We will have beer and two kinds of wine, red and white. I don’t know yet when we’re going to have the official opening. I’ll be able to tell you more about it when the time comes.

I have a few more pictures for you. I thought I would wait until I got yours but that might be months. The one picture will give you an idea of what our big boat looks like. By the way, I painted that side you see facing the camera. That day dock is what I jumped off into those steps you see. I jumped from that walk on the top. That one picture was taken from our barracks window and that’s the basin I have been telling you about. I think I’ll soon have some pictures of the building we live in.  That one with the dogs and cat I thought was cute. We were walking down the street in Deauville and I saw this and had my buddy take a picture. I thought it looked very cute and something you don’t see every day. I am going to try to get all the pictures I ca over here, for someday they will look good in our scrapbook.

How are the kids coming along? Is Bobby still as cute as ever?

I didn’t go to any place tonight which helps make things more lonesome.

I haven’t been in a writing mood for over a week. I guess it just comes in streaks. But I do love you my darling – forever.

Good night my darling wife.

All my love and kisses
