My dearest Gerry:

I am getting to be a bad girl staying out late three nights in a row, two nights with a sergeant and one night with my old boss. So I have to write during the day. I met Patty in New York and we went out to Woodhaven to see the Taylors and they were simply thrilled to see us, and we certainly were glad to see our boss. He lost 8 pounds but is so glad to be back home he will put them back on in no time. He has proclaimed a holiday for himself the day we get married, and is going to close the New York store and all the branches. We had a lot of laughs and we left about 11 P.M. getting back to Mamaroneck at 1 A.M. so I just couldn’t write last night. My day off is tomorrow so I guess I will catch up on my sleep then.

I am sending you a little item that may prove interesting to you, as well as me. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you were sent to this particular O.C.S. for training? It looks like transportation will come into its own yet. Of course I would love to go to the West Coast too, but north, south, east or west, as long as I’m with you I would be so happy. This isn’t an O.C.S. but an Officers Training School, but maybe you will get here yet. Only HE knows.

Well my darling, getting busy again so will close with all my love,
