Dearest Clara,

Honey it has been cloudy all day and somewhat cooler, so will write to you. There isn’t much that I can tell now at the present time, but will be able to later. I am okay I got a little heat rash, went and had some medicine put on it, is just on my cheek, like when I was in Paris. It will be alright in a day or two. I’ll do my best to get an air mail written after awhile. I should wash out a pair of trousers this evening I might do it after I take a bath. It will only take a few minutes. It probably will be some time before you and I will hear from each other, so please don’t worry honey, take good care of yourself and be careful, I always will write often.

With all of my love, kisses to my sweet wife Clara,

Johnny
