Dearest Clara,

Honey I will write this to you before I do the others.  I got 3 letters from you; boy was I glad dear.  May 29, June 14, and July 4th and a few of the older ones are finely getting to me.  I just lack a few anyway, but I enjoy them just the same.  I got one from Mrs. Parks too; when I get it answered I’ll send it to you, and that won’t be long.  I am pretty fair, got my bath.  Darling I miss you plenty, and I know you do me.  You just do what you think is right.  I’m helpless the way things are now.  I got the watch band all engraved for you.  I didn’t do such a wonderful job.  I guess it will pass though; I want to make a little bracelet for Alphones just as soon as I can.  Don’t you think that would be okay? I’ll get busy and answer your letter now.

With all my love and kisses to my dearest wife Clara,

                                                                                                                    Johnny
