Dearest Clara,

I will finishing telling you what I started too, I hope to get all yours letters answered, just as soon as my eye’s clear up. I think they will be better tomorrow. It always takes two or three days for them to wear the stuff out. Did you ever have them put in your eyes honey? June 13th I am glad that you are getting caught up on your letter writing. It’s bad dear that your folk’s didn’t go to the election. I understand, and I know you and I won’t be that way, we think too much of each other don’t we, and it always will be O.K. Nothing should come between us, no matter what happens. I know you are as good as you know how to be, and I am too, I’ll always remember what I told you before I left and I keep my promises.

With all my love and kisses to my dear wife, Clara

Your husband, Johnny
