Dearest Clara,

Will drop you a few lines, on one of these, and hope it reaches you much sooner so you won’t be too worried about what I wrote in the other letter. It isn’t as bad as it might sound to you dear. I bet I will look funny in my G.I. glasses, don’t you think, but they will keep me from getting a headache, that’s all that matters. I sure wish that your dad’s ear could be cured. It’s bad enough to be hard hearing. Mrs. Parker said in her letter that Mr. Parker was having trouble with one of his ears. I didn ‘t know he was troubled that way, did you? Well darling, I am out of space too, and take care of my Clara for me, until I can get back to you dear, and good night honey.

With all my love and kisses,

                                                                                    To my darling wife Clara

                                                                                                Johnny
