Dearest Clara,

I don’t know what I will write now since I have already written one long letter to you, I am fine, my cold I had is about all gone now, I have to write by ____ because they keep bumping the bed all the time. Darling I think of you all the time, but it doesn’t help me to see you, and I sure wish I could you can bet on that. I suppose you are busy on your quilts and some of your other books, it will be nice when I get back so we can start out again won’t it Honey? Well I’ll sign off for this time and write soon,

With lots of love and kisses to my darling wife Clara,

                                                                                                            Johnny S.
