Dearest Clara,

As I didn’t get only one letter written to you yesterday, I’ll try my best to get two written for you today, honey! The time has changed now, so if these letters get mixed up you’ll know the reason why. There isn’t much going on today, except for a little music. Some of the boys have their guitars and violins with them. They go out on deck and play once in a while. I didn’t go to the show this morning, I didn’t think in time, and besides I had to shave and get a haircut. I can let my hair grow out like it used to be, with my long side burns. I’ll sure try my best to get a picture after they grow long enough so they look good. I just had my neck trimmed up. Dear I am out of paper as you know, but I’ll write an air mail to make up. Be careful and good for me darling.

With all my love and kisses to my darling wife Clara
