Dear Mother and Dad

How’re things with you today? I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I am feeling fine. How re things in the neighborhood, Mrs. Clifford, Tommy, Dorothy, Annie, and the West gang? Have you heard from Bud lately? Give my best regards. Have you heard from Willard and Southern Tier. Remember me to them. Everything is just the same over here and the weather is O.K. I suppose your really getting nice hot weather now. How is my mail getting home? How often do you get it. I haven’t heard from you in over two wks. I know that you’re writing but we just aren’t getting it. We move so often that it takes sometime for the mail to get here. How’re you surviving the rationing? I bet you’re getting your share of chicken. I don’t they’re rationing fowl. Are they? I have heard from Bud lately. Has he been moved again? Did he even get that furls that he was supposed to? I suppose Dad is still working just as much as usual. How is the garden getting along. Did you get the packages that I sent home yet? You will have probably by the time you get this letter. I will try to write to Bud tomorrow + maybe I will be able to drop Annie a line. Guess I will close for now but will write soon. Best of luck. God bless both of you.

Your loving son

Paul
