Dear Father,

There is a fair possibility that shortly I will be out of the muton paul. They are setting up a second survey party. Apparently it is considered that I will be more valuable there than in muton Transportable. For me this might be a break because I will be bad in the line for which I was trained. However this thing is pretty nebulous as yet. After three years of disappointments I am not knowing until the day actually comes.

If you recall when you were a boy in Piterland the summer that your father was cleaning the field of rocks. If I recall you took over the job and proceeded to blow a rock the size of a teakettle onto the roof much to your father’s joy. Time they bother in the hole around here and the rocks slant to sail I am reminded of that event. Of course I bit the dirt under a truck because even at 1/8 mi. distance it is dangerous as hell it would be rough to get your head behind in by a friendly engineer’s rock shower.

At present I am waiting for an old boy to turn down a fighting for our light plant. Pencil and paper at band so-last night our air raid came after my laundry business. Those darn Japs are like mosquitoes in as much as they are pesky but not too dangerous.

I broke that this stands up under the elements if weather it’s across the pacific.
