Dear Sonny:

We are glad to hear you are well, and that everything is going well so far. We are all well. Dad is very tired when he gets home, but is doing good.

We were glad to hear you received the pen and you like [it]. I think it is a very nice pen, please Sonny take good care of it and it will last a long while.

When you receive the pkg. with the socks in [it] let me know how you like them and if they fit alright. Do you think they are too light in color? The next shade is a dark brown. Would you like it better?

Sonny, Marie went to an Army and Navy store on Market St. for the hats you asked for, they want $1.75 a piece – she thought that was too much, so she didn’t buy them. If you still want them write and let me know and I will get them for you. If you want them write me a V-mail letter and tell me. I will get it faster. The V-mail letter you wrote me Feb 18th I received it Feb 26th. That was just 8 days later. That sure was fast.

I received another letter from Mrs. Nashold, she is making a scrapbook for her son and she asked me for one of your pictures. She said the book would not be complete without a picture of you.

I am having some more of your picture printed. We are all out of what we had. As soon as I get them I will send her one.

Have you moved into your house yet?

How do you like it? We have sent you three rolls of film, one in a box, and two in another box. You should have them by now. We sure would like to have a picture of the house and the boys standing in front of it, and any other pictures you are allowed to take.

Sonny I sent you some stationary in two of your pkgs., and I made up a half lb. pkg. of just stationary and sent it first class mail. I hope you will get some of it before what you have runs out.

Pat Rotella finally came to see us last Sunday. It was the first time since he came home. He doesn’t look good at all. He says it is hard, working in a factory after being out in the fresh air and sunshine for ten months. He has to get [used] to it again. But he is glad he is home.

Well Sonny, that’s all for now. I will write again soon. Hope everything is going well for you all. Our best wishes to all the boys. Dad, Marie, and I send you our love and best wishes. God bless you all.

From your loving

Mother.
