Dear Al:

I received your swell letter today and, as usual, was very glad to hear from you.

Everything is fine with me and I surely hope that the same holds with you.

I received a letter from “Russ” today. He was in Shoemaker, California and was ready to ship to San Diego within an hour for immediate overseas duty. Bob Freudig is still in Germany. He doesn’t know whether he will be put in Army of Occupations and shipped to the Pacific as yet.

Pat Mahoney is home on leave. Gee he is certainly tall. His uncle is also home from the Navy.

George was in St. Luke’s hospital for a few days. He had a sinus operation but is home again and in the best of health.

Mrs. Freudig sends her best regards and said I should tell you she was asking you.

I’m glad you liked that you liked the picture I sent you.

Now that summer is here, I am spending most of my time swimming. I go to Willow quite often and like it a lot.

I made out rather good on my report card. Just think, I am now a Junior. Only two more years before graduation. Gee! Time is certainly passing by rapidly.

Well, I have no more news for this time so I’ll say:

“Good Evening

and

God Bless You”

            Love,

Dot
