 Dear Mother:

We had a sunrise Easter service here this morning and quite a few turned out for it

Yesterday while we were having a little drill a 2 fast rattlesnake came crawling out on the field and everyone crowded around it and it got excited and didn’t know what to do.  Some kid steped up and stamped on its head and another pulled the rattle off and that’s all there was to it.  It sure did rattle but it never had sense enough to coil up.

From the looks of things I’ll be stuck here for another 5 weeks as Pre flight is filled up again as far as I know.  Only 20 have gone from this squadron and that leaves about 400 more.

There is an old cotton patch hear and a few of the bushes are still up.  I don’t think you’ve ever seen real cotton so here is one ball.

Enclosed are the pictures taken at San Antonio.  All information on back.

                                                                                    So long,

                                                                                         Mel
