Aubrey Meredith served in the 8th Fighter Control Squadron stationed in Australia and New Guinea. His letters home begin in January of 1942 when he was first deployed at about the age of 25 and continue through 1945. His letters were mailed to his family living at the time on Parker Street in Richmond, Virginia. After returning to the U.S. Meredith worked for the United States Postal Service. Meredith died in April of 2004.
