Dear Mom, Dad & Marie,

Again today two letters from you. One was a V-mail and the other a regular letter. Was very glad to learn that my letters reach you so quickly. Hope this one will do likewise.

Yes, that was me in the news-reel, and I am glad you were able to see it. Also that you think I am looking well. Everyone here says the same and I don’t see why not, as I feel just fine.

Tomorrow being Sunday, I have just returned from confession. Hope to be able to go to church and to Communion. I am working but think I can get off long enough to attend Mass. We have a nice Chaplain whose name is Waldo (Capt.) and he is from Ind.

The lights just went out so I will have to finish this by candle-light.

I hope Marie will like her new job, and that the new job will like her. Seems to me that it’s a grand opportunity for her. She’s a sweet girl.

I haven’t written to Aunt Tessie as yet and I am ashamed to admit it but you tell her for me that soon I will write her. I write to Florence pretty regularly. Florence’s little Richard sure is a nice looking little chap.

Bob told me that he had written to Marie but he wouldn’t tell me what he wrote. How’s about giving me the low down. Which reminds me – I must write him a letter soon.

Well that’s all folks for this time but will be dropping you another line or two soon. Fine ending, isn’t it?

                                                            With all my love,

                                                                        Your son,

                                                                                    Aubrey
