Dear Joe,

I received your letter and was very glad to hear from you. I bet you had a good time skating with that beautiful blonde. Was she a blonde?

I guess you have heard that Stan is in the Hawaiian Islands. You know, he wouldn’t even write to his family or us when he was in this country. He wrote to Sophia and told her to tell everyone to write, just so they wrote, he didn’t care who it was. Well, now that he is in Hawaii, I guess he will be sending a picture home of a native girl just as Buster has.

Do you have a picture of you? I would like to have one just to put in my album. If you don’t have one, just forget about it.

You know there are so many sailors in town now. I guess thats’ the best bunch of all, except the Marines!!!

We went to John Marshall School today and you know I felt so happy just being in the building. It made me feel so funny that I felt like crying. Gee, I wish that I hadn’t finished school.

Joe, please excuse my writing and English as I am trying to listen to the radio and concentrate on writing.

Mom, Dad and the boys said to tell you “hello.”

I must close now, but please write me.

I remain, Paris Dedeian
