Richmond 24, Va

Dearest Joe,

Well it is me writing to you again. How are you these fine days? Sophie hopes all is swell and happy with you.

Brother Stann was home on a furlough for 7 days. He had to travel from California you can imagine how proud, and glad we were to see him home again. He is leaving soon for over sea duty. He asked me whether I have heard from you recently and I told him that I haven’t but I hope to soon. Stann told me to tell you hello.

Joe, it has gotten pretty wed here in Richmond now. Winter is fight up here for us Richmond people. Everything is the same here in Richmond, nothing new.

Today, I went to the Cavalier arena, and boy! did I have fun. Betty and Johnny boy were there.

Well Joe, I shall have to hoist anchor now hoping to hear from you real real soon. Can you send me a large picture of yourself. I would love to have one if it is possible for you to take one.

Love,

Sophie
