April- 10- 44

Dear Evelyn-

I just finished writing to all the boys so I thought I would do a real good job and write to you. It is Monday morn and it sure is raining in Akron. I wonder if we will have any nice weather? Did you have a nice Easter? I didn’t get anything new. You couldn’t wear it anyway it rained all day Sunday. Are you still working? I might have to go back to work. They said after this month the factories would have a hard time getting help. No Evelyn no one else has a picture of Jack. He sent them from Pearl Harbor. I think they are swell. Don’t say anything to his Grandmother you have that picture I guess I am so much in love with Jack I just idolize him but I guess that is just like Mothers. I haven’t heard from Jack since he wrote to you. If he is gone across it will be some time before we will get a letter. Oh he will write to you he said he was I think he is sweet on you. Don’t take my writing wrong. I am just saying things I heard him say. Don’t get mad will you. Mr. D. is just the same he has a hard cold now. I had the Grandchildren over to spend a few days. Mr. P. Daughter has two girls and one has hair just like cotton and the other ones hair is just as red as your can get them. They want to stay with me all the time but they are in school. I guess I better sign off so don’t work too hard.

                                                                        Love

                                                                            Mrs. D.
