Dec. 27, 1946

Dear Jack,

Received your letter and your card.  I thought your card was wonderful, as it was so different.

I had a very merry Christmas.  I got a Silver Fox Coat and 1 million other things.  I’m having pictures taken in my coat this Sunday so I’ll send you one.

Bob Hansen came down to see me and we went out.  He is a swell fellow.

I’m glad to hear that the girl situation is good as I would hate to think of you dying down there dreaming of some girl far away.

This Tuesday night I’m really going to howl as there are about 6 parties which I was invited to so I’ll probably make the rounds.  I guess you’ll go crazy New Years Eve, as you will probably all be drunk.

So A.C. is going steady, I think I have seen his girl friend with him, she is very pretty.  I never thought he would go steady.  Well Jack I think I’ve given all the news so I’ll sign off sending my love and remaining

As Ever,

Elsie
