Dear Jack,

It was good to hear from you after such a long time. You said you thought you wrote me from Sasebo but I didn’t receive any letter from there.

Well there have been a lot of things going on since I last wrote you which was in December.

I’ll start off with you asked how Sam and I were making out; well we did make up for one week but then broke off again and he is going with one of my girlfriends. (I forgot to thank you for the money, so I will now, thanks again.) But he is gone and forgotten to me. (I hope) Well that covers that question.

I haven’t heard from Frank at all. The last time I saw him was when Sam and I had just made up and I told him about it so I thought maybe he told you.

I was hit with a car two weeks ago and had to be taken to the hospital and Mom has to go and have an operation as soon as my exams are finished because I have to keep house, I bet you can just picture me cooking and keeping house. I told mom after she came out Dad and I would be going in for lack of food. Well we certainly do have the luck around here.

Tomorrow night is a big game of baseball between our varsity and Newburgh and I will be going to yell my lungs out.

I am home all alone and as soon as I finish writing to you I am going to review for exams which are coming up next week.

It was funny Dot and I were talking about you today in Social Studies class and she told me you two were going back together again and I was glad to hear it.

I haven’t been out with a fellow in so long. I am a dope, when I do get asked I don’t want to go. I would rather go with the girls and have fun. Queer aren’t I but none of the boys appeal to me.

You asked me for a picture of myself but right now I haven’t one but I had some taken a couple weeks ago and as soon as they are developed I will send you one. Well I guess that covers all for tonight. Boy it must be nice seeing all over the world. Well don’t wait so long to write this time.

Lots of Luck,

Betty
