Hello Sunshine,

I got this morning off, after working yesterday from 5:30 till last night till 1:00. You can see what I have to go through with. I just mailed that picture this morning. I never see the barracks in daylight, you can see I haven’t the time to write or mail any package to you or even my people. I actually have time to write once a week, then I have to write in such a hurry that no one can read it. That picture stayed here in my barracks till it was scratched and ruined.

Louise my Draft Board has written into my Co. Commander for me to be discharged for dependency but I don’t think it will have any effect. Answer soon.

                                                                        Love Always,

                                                                                    Ike
