Hello Dot

Well kid still kicking dirt around.  The going was kind of tough at first but not half bad now.  Well honey we was glad when it finally got started, but it’s not as easy as it sounds on the radio or the news papers write.  But think it will be all over soon.  Then just the Japs left.  Don’t think they will be as tough as Jerry.

Better not send anymore boxes.  I move so dam much they never catch up.  So just skip sending anything for a while.  You see Dot I am at a sort of rest camp.  May mone any time as not much use of sending any more stuff. Wait till I ask for it again.

Tell Gordon I said glad he didn’t have to get in this.  It’s about the toughest dam job any one ever had.  Hope they don’t shut down on that feed.  I got a hell of a lot of drinking to catch up on ha

I say hello to Sis and Shill for me.  I is and I no what me want. ha.ha.  Hope little Gordie don’t get no painting upstairs.  Then you and Gordon will blame all that tough job of painting on him. ha ha.  Miss those kids like heck.  I have the name thing that you people have. Only for a different reason. haha. Shocking isn’t it. haha. Don’t worry about me doing O.K.  Hope to be back in there pitching again soon.  Well loads of love and stuff.  Jim

p.s. Will write as often as I can
