                        Hello Honey

Well honey, how are you all doing? I hope OK. I’ve been very busy. This is the first chance I have gotten to write. I didn’t get the extension on the furlough, but you must know that by now. So far I haven’t received a letter from Erie. They couldn’t give me any more time on account of the shots I had to take. I hope this finds your cold a heck of a lot better.

By the way, how is my little old man? It’s too bad about that rupture. I hope you get him fixed up soon. The older her gets the tougher it will be. How is Roy and the little honey child getting along? Hope they don’t put Mary in bed next. HA HA. He sure has a cute kid there. I mean the baby not the other one. HA HA

I hope Hazel is feeling better. This letter puts me in mind of writing to a hospital. HA HA

Well honey, I can’t say much about myself. I am feeling fine as usual. Oh and by the way I got the teeth-sit down now. HA HA. They made the dam things to big. HA HA. I can’t talk and as a matter of fact, I can’t even close my mouth. Ha ha. Well, guess where they are: in my barrack bag. Ha ha. The dam dentist must think I am a dam horse. HA HA. To hell with them. I don’t intend to bite the dam enemy anyhow. You said they might hurt, but to keep them in. ha. ha. But I forgot to ask you what the hell to do if I had to keep my mouth shut to keep them up there. HA HA. So kindly advise.

Well I hope old Gordie is still kicking. Tell him I said thanks for the grub and beer. I hope he doesn’t have to get in this army. It sure was good to get home and I’m glad Mary got the pictures. I never did have many taken. It won’t be long now. I hope old Vin gets over his home sickness. If he gets over that it won’t be so bad. Tell Mary to write cheerful letters and give him the old how proud she is of him. That will help him a lot, he is a little proud. HAHA

Well kid, keep and eye on my family. Stop in once a month. HAHA. Say hello to Ma Loosemore for me. I will try to write to her if I get the time, but so far I haven’t had any time for any thing. I don’t know if Ray has gone back or not but give him and the family my best. Say hello to Sis and that young lady of mine, Miss Shirley.

Well honey, I have to go back to work, so will have to sign off for now. You all must write little old me often. I know you can’t come and see little old me. HAHA So till I hear from you, I love you all.
