Dear Mom-

Just a note to let you know I’m overseas and that everything is O.K. I am somewhere in England. We have not been told yet what to write and what not to-but I think it’s OK to say that I am not yet at a permanent station-I do not have a new A.P.O. number yet-but will have soon-I just wanted to let you know I’m OK. Don’t write me at the above address but wait until you get a form letter giving the new A.P.O. number.

The trip across was a new experience for me-not entirely pleasant-I was pretty seasick for a while-I’m sending you a copy of the paper that was put out daily on the way over-yours truly helped with it a bit-it explains as much as I can say about the voyage.

Have you heard from Gene recently? I hope I can find him if he’s still here-Hope we can be station-ed near each other-I’m writing to him now-When you get my new address send it to him at once-I’ll do the same then he’ll be sure to know-

I’ll write again as soon as possible-Don’t worry about me-everything is swell-

                                                                                                Love

                                                                                                            Jack
