Dear Comrade-

Well it won’t be long now before you’re a member of the armed forces- I know you’ll make out well- you always do- I got your letter that you sent to Pickett- I’d like to hear more about your red rays. –It sounds very interesting – I hope we can meet in Chicago sometime if you stay here-

I think I have a chance at A.S.T.P here- the quota’s seem to be different in different Corps Areas- I’ll know about it when I’m called for A.S.T.P interview- I’ve decided now to take anything they offer- Engineering Languages- what have you- In the meantime I’m going to Surgical Technician’s school- As you know I’m with a Field Hospital Unit- and we’re getting ready for P.O.E.- Time is the only element now- I’ll just have to wait and see-

Good luck chum- Keep “on the well”- Give em all you’ve got- don’t ever blow up. Take everything they can give you- and never say die-

                                                            Adios-

                                                                        Jackson
