My Darling,

Again I must admit I didn’t get those extra letters written. Again it was on account of the same thing. Spent my evening in the A.X. with Al Whitehouse and Berquist. Getting to be a habit, isn’t it? However am going to cut it out a I do want to catch up on my mail.

We had a mail call yesterday as the truck finally got here and I did very well as usual. Thank God I have you and Mom. Particularly am I grateful for your letters as they seem to be filled with your sweetness and goodness and they make life worth bearing. I worship you, Hon. You mean so very much to me. I fully realize that I word my love for you similarly in each succeeding letter, but what could be more sincere than a simple, honest declaration? I believe you know what is in my heart.

Well I’m back again although it is now 9:30 P.M. and I am slightly the worse for the wear after my excursion to the A.X. and a few of the tents. Thank God what friends I have like to drink. They seem to have found a source I must have missed. Hell it is just as well, I guess. That I missed it, I mean.

We have had another mail call in the meantime but I will tell you about it in tomorrow’s letter, O.K.? As comments on letters from home form the basis of my letters in return, I have to ration my material.

Hell I have done my best tonight!

                                                All my love,

                                                            Warren
