Hubbert- September 10, 1940
As you may know I was interned in a Jewish refugee camp in Hal, near Brussels, from May 10th, 1940.

Hunter- September 13, 1939
Bessie has a Jewish boy, a refugee, going to school. His father is a Jewish doctor, but is interned somewhere, and she says that Peter is quite happy except when he gets a letter this’ from the concentrating camp and then he crys. And the poor boy is only very slightly Jewish.

Evdasinoj - May 31, 1944
You can’t even picture what had been done by the Nazis. They killed every single Jew, destroyed all beautiful places…. Everything that’s written in the newspapers is true.
