Dearest Marge,

Well I finally got mail. Some of it was rather old but I think I’ve gotten everything straightened out. If your letters arrived here in the order you write them everything would be easy but they don’t. About 10 days ago I got a letter from you telling me that your mother was home from Louis. You said she was feeling a little better. Now I get the letter telling me what was wrong. Boy the mail is really screwed up over here. I got a hop of candy from Ila too. She put it in a tin can and (censored)

Months now. It happened I had some but it won’t last forever.

Well we are having a dry spell now. It stopped raining for about 6 hours today. Then it rained more and is getting colder. Well anyway it’s still raining and muddy. What a mess.

Did I ever tell you I got a letter from you that had been censored? I think it was some knucklehead spot checking the mail. Either that or the letter was never sealed and was checked. Nothing to worry about. When you write V mail, if you ever do be sure and don’t write over the margin. They won’t print them then and it takes a long time to get here. I got one that was 6 weeks old and they had stamped in the corner to advise correspondence of such information T.S. I call it.

Well I saw another show recently “Is Everybody Happy” That makes 3 times I’ve seen the pictures but what could I do but see it again. Oh well I should gripe.

Did Kate and Jim ever get married or have they decided to wait for a while. That’s something I've never been able to figure out. The latest information was Jim was sending after her to come to Calif. That was several letters ago.

Well Honey I’ll have to close tonight. I can’t think of anything else now. Ill try and write again tomorrow. Don’t worry about me even if I don’t get to write. I’m OK only lonesome for you. Be good Darling and write every chance you get. I love you more and more every day I’m away from you. Someday soon Ill prove this too. I’ll send you all my love.
