Dear Marie:

Well, I finally got around to answering your letter. It has only been fourteen days since you wrote so that isn’t too bad now, is it? Anyway, here is answer to yours. Just because of a little blot at the beginning of your letter, you lost; you lost your temper. I’m ashamed of you. When things don’t go just right, remember this-----let not your angry passion arise, remember,—your heart is a garden of joy. Repeat that phrase a few times and go at it again, you will find, things will move along so much easier.

So Katie pulled a gypsy switch on you with the pen. Well it worked just swell anyway, didn’t it? I’m sorry I failed to mention receiving those candies. When something like candies arrives, why they go around once and bingo they are gone. I do the same with their packages too. What I want to say is, that they were gone so fast I forgot about it. I’m sorry and promise it won’t happen again.

The weather here was just nothing but rain for two solid weeks. However, with all the rain, Jonqils and Hyesthers (I think that’s how it is spelled) are blooming and they sure look swell.

Yep! Your right Cookie, the good old yanks are going to town and I hope nothing happens to cause a reverse in any plan they have.

Well, nothing new out here to talk about, I spend most of my evenings at the NCO club and then to bed along about 10 PM. I’m still feeling OK and still going along in my best fashion. So until I hear from you again, I’ll say so long and hope all at home are well and happy.

                                                As ever your brother

                                                         Norm.
