Somewhere in Italy

Dear Grandma, Grandpa and Family:

Well it’s been quite sometime again since I’ve last written to you but you understand the reason why. It’s pretty tough to write letters over here I don’t have much time. I’m in the best of health and feeling very good. I do hope all of you are the same. By the way I just got your package yesterday and it took almost two months to get here, in fact the three cartons of cigarettes my mother sent me just arrived yesterday to and it took 2 ½ months to reach me. I want to thank you for the box I really am enjoying it very much. There isn’t any news I can tell you only we are bombing hell out of Jerry as you read in the paper. How are things on the home front? Anyway is there anything new? I’m coming home in a few *cough* sometime around 1950 ha ha, if not than 1960 at least I’m [assured] of old age pension then ha ha aren’t I. Well I’m going to say so long and lots of love always, and please don’t worry to much cause everything will be fine I’m almost sure. Until the next time I’ll say bye for now and may the dear Lord bless all of you and keep all of you safe always.

Love,

Norm

P.S. Play Sun Flower when he runs again.
