Dearest Gay,

Another month has gone. I wonder how many more will have to pass before we will be together again. I certainly hope not very many. It sure is hot tonight. My hand sticks to the paper as I can hardly write. I received 2 letters from you today and they were swell. You said you wished you knew more how the baby talks. I can’t describe him but I sent some pictures last night so hop it isn’t too long before you get them. He really is growing and changing every day. I took him to the doctor today and he now weights 8 lbs 6 oz. He gained 9 ¾ oz since last week. Doc Wagner he is gaining wonderfully and thinks he is a fine boy. So do I. That’s putting it mild. He starts taking Cod liver oil tomorrow. I start by giving him 5 drops and increase it everyday until he takes 25. If he takes that all right then he will get orange juice starting next week. I hope I don’t have any trouble with him taking it. It makes him sound like he is getting old, taking cod liver oil and orange juice. I am feeling real good now but still take it easy. I spent the whole evening visiting with the girl across the street. Her baby will be 10 months old this month. We sit and talk about the time we were in the hospital and I ask her millions of questions about what her baby did when she was Tommy’s age. I learn al lot that way. I guess that will be all for tonight.

Lots of love and kisses from your Doe.
