Dearest Gay,

I don’t have much to write today. I still haven’t received any mail from you which is unusual on Monday. I usually get something on Monday, but not today. We got a letter from Gloria finally and I guess she had a real nice trip. Her dad started talking to a middle-aged sailor in the depot down here and she doesn’t know whether her dad told him to watch out for her or not but I guess he sat down with her all the way to Denver and he was taking the same train out of Denver as she was and if it hadn’t been for him she would have had to wait for the train the next day because this train was so full they would just let servicemen and their wives on, so she posed as the sailor’s wife and got on. He was going to Washington so he got in a different car than she but the sorter sat her down with a solider and she said he even talked more than the sailor. Anyway, she got there O.K. and Kenny met her at the station so every thing was fine. She said they had a real nice room and the business section of Boise is longer than Lincoln so she has a good time roaming around. I am feeling well again today. It is still nice and cool here. I told you in my letter yesterday about the medicine they are giving me to keep me quieted down and boy it sure does a good job. I am supposed to spend most of my time in bed and that isn’t hard. When I am up u am walking in my sleep and when I hit the bed I am sound asleep. It’s just like walking on clouds.

                                                            Love,   Doe
