My Dear,

Wife which sitting here all sad and blue thinking of you and thought that I would drop you a few times to let you know from me I am well and truly hope that this letter will find you well and enjoying the best of health.  I receive your letters and was glad to hear from you.  I thought that you had turned me down.  I didn’t hear from you in a month so that left me to think anything I want to think (smile).  Darling the least you could do is write, and let me hear from you.  You know I always want to hear from you at all times I have learn that I love you since I been away from you and if I ever get back to you I will make good of it until the Lord take one of us.  And believe that you and I can live good from then on and things will not be as they once have been. Baby I am praying all the time for you and I give my love to all the family.  I am closing with a heart full of love and many kiss to you x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x and write soon and let me hear from you.

From James Harrell to my wife Eva L. Harrell. True heart.
